Course Description:

This course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of electrical principles, circuit measurement and diagnostic approaches for root cause analysis. Emphasis will be placed on circuit diagnosis using wiring schematics and digital multimeter data. Participants will receive both lecture and hand-on instruction.

• Reading wiring diagrams

• DMM (Digital Multi-meter) testing

• Interpreting and analyzing measurements

• Identifying root cause of failure

Hands-on Activities: 

• Trace current flow through wiring diagrams

• Utilize wiring diagrams to reduce diagnostic time

• Perform voltage, amperage and resistance measurements

• Perform DMM measurements to isolate root cause
