Course Description:

This course focuses on high voltage safety principles and procedures needed to service and maintain high voltage systems found on modern cars, buses and trucks. Lecture and hands-on activities are designed to increase technician comfort and competency in working with high voltage systems. Participants who successfully complete this course will be prepared to pass the new ASE Electrified Vehicle tests.

• Meter Selection and testing

• Safely de-powering high voltage systems

• Live-Dead-Live testing

Hands-on Activities:

• Identify high voltage systems and components

• Inspect and test high voltage gloves

• Set-up and test voltage meters

• De-power high voltage systems

• Perform Live-Dead-Live tests
